vietnem
for the benefit of those who din noe, i went backpacking in vietnem. it was really nice. tho' onli 4 days, i really enjoyed myself. went with my bro, which was a good combination. he was the rush and 'wanna do everything now' person and i the slacker. so we travelled at a comfortable pace.
vietnemise were really nice ppl. ok, some of them do cheat you, but if you compare it with her neighbour malaysia and thailand, vietnem is really great. the ppl are helpful and friendly. they live really simply life and dun try the squeeze out every penny from you. they'll give you a fair price, and stick with it. vietnem is also a safe country with a low crime rate. (again, comparing relative to thailand and malaysia) there are even 'tourist security police' patrioling al around. tho' it may be safe from crime, i cant say the same for the roads. onli 20% of the big roads have traiffic lights, and 95% of the drivers dun have a licence. i mean they renting a motorbike for me to drive for a whole day, says alot. i mean i onli learnt to ride it in 5 seconds and i went off riding on the roads. so be really careful which crossing vietnem's roads. i learnt tt while crossing tt 'slow and steady wins the race'. nvr try to speed up or slow down, you juz get yourself knocked down by one of the 3 million motorbikes in ho chin min.
aniwaez, in this trip, i learnt to ride a motorbike. i learnt kite surfing, which is totally cool and now officially my favourite sea sport. i got my hair cut in the foreign land, not too good an idea(stick with your usual hair stylist). i slided down a huge sand doom. and many other things i din for the first time.
this trip is onli the beginning. for me, the main purpose of the trip was to gain more expereince for future trips. maybe to future countries, and longer durations. backpacking is really fun. so take a chance, get adventurous and pack your bags for a buget airline to some cheap motel. lolx..
